Obituary of Ross Smith
Ross F. Smith, 81, of Palermo, NJ passed away Sunday, May 5, 2012 at his home with his wife by his side. Born in Massachusetts he had lived in Morristown, NJ before moving to Palermo in 2011. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving from 1954 until his Honorable Discharge in 1956. Mr. Smith was a courier for A. D. P. in North Jersey. He was a member of the N. R. A., Ridge Riders Motorcycle Club, Seaville Quaker Meeting, St. John Episcopal Church in Boonton, co-founder of Cedar Street after school program in Boonton, North Jersey Arms Collectors Club and a friend of Bill W. Surviving are: His Wife: Trudy, two sons: Ross F., Jr. of Seattle, WA, Malcolm of Madison, NJ and seven grandchildren. A memorial mass will be offered Friday morning at 11 o'clock from Church of the Resurrection of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, NJ. Where friends may call from 10 o'clock until time of mass. Burial will be private. The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to the Cedar Street after school program, 216 Cornell Street, Boonton, NJ 07005.
