Obituary of Harold Haug

Harold Henry Haug III, age 45, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.Harold was born in Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ on May 1, 1978.  Shortly after Harold was born, his family moved full-time to their shore home in Forked River where Harold grew up and graduated from Lacey Township High School.  He then attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.  Despite his culinary education and his love of cooking, construction was a passion that began while building forts and skateboard ramps as a kid and he pursued construction as a career throughout adulthood.  He had wonderful bosses and colleagues who were also some of his dearest friends.  Harold’s hobbies included cooking, building and fixing things around his home, fishing with his son, coaching and attending his kids’ sports games, vacationing in Florida regularly, and simply spending time with his family.Harold is survived by his wife Stacie, his son Harold, his daughters Taylor and Juliet, his sister Kim, and his mother Lynne.Harold was preceded in death by his father Harold Haug Jr., his grandparents Anne and Harold Haug Sr., and his grandparents Rita and Robert Keane.

Friends may call Tuesday evening from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Egg Harbor Township, 4008 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.  A mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday morning, 11 o'clock  at Church of St. Pius X, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731.  His final resting place will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, 283 Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ.
