Obituary of Raymond Adams, Jr.

Raymond Adams, Jr. 92 yrs old, passed away @ United Methodist Communities @ The Shores , in Ocean City on 3/4/2023 peacefully to be with The Lord.

He was born in Ocean City, NJ in house on 11^th and Bay Ave.  He has been a lifetime resident in Ocean City, NJ  During his life he was an active member of the Ocean City Baptist Church as well as a former member of the Greater Mainland Chamber of Commerce.  He recently worked the past 18 years for the City of Northfield responsible for payroll, He proudly became a CPA as of 10/2002. 

He served in the Army from 1952-1954 during the Korean War , stationed in Japan.  He attended Phila. College of Bible, Wheaton College, Illinois and graduated from Rutgers College during night school.

He is survived by his daughter; Susan (Adams)VanSant of Northfield, NJ and his brother Norman Robert Adams of Ocean City.  4 grandchildren; Matt (Lauren) Van Sant of EHT; Chris Vansant (Portia Womer) of Phila., Pa.; Justin Adams of Orlando, FL and Stefanie Adams of St. Augustine, FL.  Also survived by 3 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Was predeceased in death by his wife Carol; son Clifford; sister Thelma Fields and sister Ruth Mitchell,

His funeral service will be held on 3/11/2023 @ Ocean City Baptist Church located @ 10^th & Wesley Ave.@ 11-12noon, where friend may call one hour earlier.  Burial will follow service @ Seaside Cemetery in  Palermo, NJ  His wishes were for those who desire to send Memorial contributions to the Great Commission Fellowship, C/o Ocean City Baptist Church, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
