Obituary of Patricia Wilsey

Patricia Ann (Pedder) Wilsey of Dennis Township, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 24. She was 87.

Born Oct. 30, 1935, in Bar Harbor, Maine, to the late Elbridge William Pedder and late Kathleen Conary, Patricia moved to the Philadelphia area with her mother and grandmother, Alice Small Conary, during the Great Depression. She graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1953. 

After her children were grown, Patricia worked until her retirement in the Ocean City tax collector’s office.

She is survived by her sons Thomas A., at home, and Robert W. (Cynthia Nevitt) of East Dorset, Vermont; her grandchildren Corrine Wilsey (Jeffrey Silverman) of Fishkill, NY, and Andrew Wilsey (Christin) of Marmora; her brother John Pedder (Mary) of Bethany Beach, Del.; and her best friend Gloria Gibson of Stuart, Fla.

She is predeceased by her late ex-husband, William R. Wilsey of Sea Isle City, and two of her longtime friends, Marie Stafford and Ruth DeHaven.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. March 4 at the Seaville Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo. For condolences to the family, visit www.godfreyfuneralhome.com
