Obituary of Christine Smith

Smith, Christine, - 65, of Seaville, Christine Louise Smith passed away surrounded by her family early Monday morning. Gone too soon, Chris leaves behind her countless family and friends. Especially her husband of 42 years, Bud Smith; her sister, Sue and husband Paul; and five children- Emily, Jordan, Lindsey, Bethany and her husband Nate, and Heron; her sisters-in-law Joy, Heather, Leslie, Amber, Sarah, and brother-in-law Eric. Chris was also thrilled to be a Gigi to her new grandbaby, Aaron. Chris grew up in Queens, NY, with her parents, June and Alfred. She was a vibrant woman, full of life- always hiking, baking, birdwatching, traveling, spending time with her girlfriends, and making people feel loved and valued. Chris was an important part of South Jersey's community. For over thirty years, she was a neonatal nurse in the special care nursery at Shore Memorial and cared for thousands of babies in our area. Chris was also a dedicated Christian and cherished member of Abundant Life church for many years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Seaview Baptist Church at 2025 Shore Rd, Linwood, NJ 08221.
