Obituary of Bernard Burke

Bernard Burke, age 80, passed away at Shore Medical Center on Friday, January 27, 2023. Born and raised in Ireland. Bernie attended Temple University. He was a union bricklayer foreman. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Somers Point, NJ. He was an accomplished amateur artist. Survivors include his wife, Lynne and his daughter, Audrey, his sisters, Mary Brown and Helen Morrison and his brother, John Burke. Bernie was preceded in death by his son, Warren Burke and his brother, Thomas Burke. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Church, 606 Shore Road, Somers Point, N.J. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Mass will start at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Magee Rehabilitation, 1513 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
