Mary was one of a very small group of people that we could call true friends. From the first meeting, Jacqui and I knew that Mary and Joe would be friends for life. We have always considered ourselves lucky to have them. Mary was so warm and open to us. Kind and understanding, yet with an inner strength that commanded respect, she always brought joy with her everywhere she went. We became close at a time of terrible tragedies and her fortitude showed us how to get through these difficult times.
She was fun. She wasn’t perfect — pretty close to it tough——and taught us that was OK. Whether it was introducing us to new people, new experiences or to our special phrase “love you, mean it!”, we often think of her and tell tales of friendship that will carry us on forever.
Mary, our sweet friend, may you find peace as you leave your family and friends and join God in Heaven. You are missed by all who were lucky enough to call you friend, Grandmom, Mom, Wife. Love Jim and Jacqui Sickels
