Louis Wright

Obituary of Louis Wright

Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Louis W. Wright, 75, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 11, 2022. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Louis Wright and Irene Kane. Lou honorably served his Country as a member of the United States Army, 1966-1972, a real-life hero serving through the Vietnam War.

However, his proudest accomplishments were his loving family including his wife Ruth Ann, his three children Louie, Lauren (Bella), Alyson (Dalton Rodriguez), and his four grandchildren Louie, Dominic, Jacob, and Serafina as well as his stepmom, Lee, sister, Jacqui (Jim) Killeen, Ruth’s parents, siblings, and many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved very much.

Lou’s careers spanned many different trades, starting as a bartender in his father’s bar, as a building contractor, worked in the family bagel business, and finally was a Jitney owner/operator.

If you listened to his voicemail lately you would know that Lou was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a fan of Philadelphia sports and NASCAR and loved riding around in his motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling with Ruth and daily calls with each of his children always ending with “is that all you’ve got?” when he wanted to get off the phone.

Lou was an exceptional husband, loving father and grandfather, caring cousin and uncle, and exceptional friend. There was nothing that he loved more than being able to spend time with each and every one of them.

Lou was predeceased by his parents, Louis Wright and Irene Kane and his brother and best friend, Gary Wright. We know that Lou will be so happy to be reunited with them again.

Lou will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Rest easy Dad, We love you.
