Obituary of Steven Paul Stasuk

Please share a memory of Steven to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Steven Paul Stasuk, age 65, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 24th, 2022.  Steve was born in Somers Point, New Jersey, and attended Mainland Regional High School.  Steve lived in Egg Harbor Township with his wife, Jeannie, for 39 years.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator until retiring in 2016.

Steve was a longtime member of the Northfield Gun Club and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, boating, and fishing; especially clamming his numerous “secret” spots in the South Jersey bays; sharing his many bounties with family, friends and neighbors throughout the years.  He was a fervent cook and would often prepare his renowned Clams Casino dish after the day’s haul...his “appetizer” undoubtedly out-shining whatever was on the menu for the evening (leaving tons of leftovers and absolutely no clams).  He loved his furry four-legged companions, having many dogs over the years: Bear, Kasi, Kelsee, Maverick, Molly, Missy and Bo.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Jeannie (McLaughlin); his stepsons Paul Grace (Wendy Powers) and Eric Grace (Shannon); his grandchildren Nick, Lexie, Alyssa, Ethan and Cayden Grace; his mother Alaine Goldstein; his brother Dennis and his sister Lisa Stasuk.  He is preceded in death by his father, William, and brother Robert Stasuk.

Steve’s services will occur at the Godfrey Funeral Home, 4008 English Creek Road in EHT, Sunday 11 December 2022. Family comfort visit walk throughs will begin at 1 PM with a service to celebrate Steve’s life beginning at 2 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Steve Stasuk Cancer Treatment Fund at
