Obituary of David Miller

David Lee Miller, age 68 passed away at the Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, New Jersey on November 16^th, 2022.

Born in Ridley Park Pennsylvania, he lived in Sharon Hill, Collingdale, and Springfield, Pennsylvania until retiring to Ocean City, New Jersey.  He graduated from Sharon Hill High School in 1972 and Temple University in 1976.  He worked 30 years at the Social Security Administration until retiring at age 51 in 2005.  In retirement, he enjoyed working golf at Gillian’s Island Adventure Golf on the Ocean City Boardwalk for 13 years.  Dave was a member of the Presbyterian church, where he served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and member of the choir for many years.  He enjoyed golf, sudoku puzzles, Storm Chasers, spending time with his family and always telling a good dad joke.  Dave was also a diehard Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers fan.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Peggy Miller, son John Miller, daughter-in-law Stephanie Miller, brother Craig Miller, and granddaughter Aubrey Maguire.

Dave was preceded in death by his father Charles Miller and mother Doris Miller.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church, 701 Wesley Ave, Ocean City, NJ 08226 on Saturday November 19^th with a Funeral Service to follow from 11:00am to 12:00pm.  Burial will take place at the Seaside Cemetery, 559 Route 9 South, Marmora, NJ 08233 following the service.  A memorial lunch will take place for friends and family at The Windjammer Café Bar & Grill, 18 MacArthur Blvd, Somers Point, NJ 08244 after the burial.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
