
Obituary of Lois R Morris
Lois R. Morris, 96, peacefully passed away at her home in Ocean City, surrounded by her family on Oct. 28, 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in the Germantown section of that city until 1970 when she and her husband and family moved to Ocean City. After graduating from Little Flower High School she became a receptionist at Reynolds Securities where she met the love of her life, her husband Joe. They were married the Immaculate Conception Church in Germantown in 1951.
Lois loved to bake and was famous for her homemade bread and coffee cake. Her children especially loved her 1,2,3,4 cake which she always made for each of them on their birthday. A daily Mass goer all her life, Lois was an active member of St. Augustine Church and School. For many years she volunteered to wash and iron St. A's altar linens. In her later years she volunteered at the St. Damien Thrift Shop, The Ocean City Community Cupboard and the Clothes Closet. She loved to help people and could always be depended upon to volunteer.
Survivors include her sister Dolores Esmonde, her children Lorie, Joseph, Mike (Nancy), Nancy (Bill), Kathy, Mary (Gene), Noreen (Tim), Susan (Chris), Joan, Kevin (Dana), and her 14 grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Morris, her son Stephen G. Morris, her parents Lewis D. and Loretta (nee Downey) Riley and her sisters Ann and Connie Riley.
