Obituary of Robert Roth

Robert Harold Roth, Sr.  (Bob), 84, passed away at United Methodist Communities at The Shores on September 30, 2022. 

Born in Abington, PA, he grew up in West Oak Lane, moved to Warminster, Dresher, and eventually Ocean City, NJ. He was a graduate of Germantown High School and The Pennsylvania State University.  He worked for IBM, retiring after 31 years. He was a proud Veteran, serving in the US Air Force. Bob  was a member of St Peter’s United Methodist church, enthusiastically working with the Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard & Clothes Closet. He was a life long member of the Ocean City Fishing Pier, acting as treasurer, financial secretary, and trustee over his many years.

The most important part of his life was focused on family.  He was truly devoted to his wife, Marge.  He traveled with her, to any, and almost every, event his children and grandchildren participated in.

He was survived by his wife Margaret who passed away on October 15th. Survivors include his children: Robert (wife Frances), Denise (husband Stephen), and Richard (wife Lisa); and grandchildren: Leighann, Krystin, Victoria, Robert, Evan, Shaun, and Ashton.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edith and Harold, his sister and brother in law, Janet and Clay Bigelow, and brother-in-law, George Miller.

A Service of Memory and Love will be offered be Saturday, October 22nd at 11 o'clock  from St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, Eighth Street at Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of service.
