Obituary of Marian Henry

Marian (Macrina) Henry, age 86 passed away in Ocean City, NJ on October 4th, 2022.  Born in Philadelphia, PA she graduated from Little Flower High School in 1953. While working at LaSalle College, she met her future husband Pat down the shore. They married October 22, 1960 and lived in Ocean City their entire lives. Marian was an active member of St. Augustine's church participating in the PTA and as a eucharistic minister.  For many years she enjoyed helping students in the guidance office of Ocean City High School.

She enjoyed long summer days on the beach with her children and grandchildren.  Marian was an excellent cook who always made room at the table for family and friends who thoroughly enjoyed her Italian feasts and lemon pound cake.

Her true love was her marriage to Pat of 61 years. She leaves behind her four children and ten wonderful grandchildren, Patrick Henry (Angela) of Erdenheim, PA (Emily and Charlotte), Mimi Cusack (Jeff) of Beesley’s Point, NJ (Julie, Tom and Patrick), Tim Henry of Oakland, CA (Taya and Ziggy), and Michael Henry (Margarita) of Hemet, CA (Elijah, Diego and Jack), her brother Anthony Macrina (Lee) of Philadelphia, PA. Marian was predeceased by her parents Augustine and Angelina Macrina and her brother Joseph.

For the last 15 months she lived at Wesley Manor where she received awesome care by Mercedes, Ti, Jen, MaryBeth, Zhar, Nana and Journey Hospice. She will be remembered for her smile and easy manor. She loved pasta, her grandchildren, the 22^nd street neighbors and the color green. Please remember Marian by wearing green to her service.

The viewing will be Saturday, October 15th, from 9:30 to 11 with a funeral mass to follow at St Augustine's Church, 13th and Wesley Avenue, Ocean City, NJ.
