Obituary of Rosemary DeRosa-Kane

Rosemary DeRosa Kane,”Roe”, 77, of Northfield, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Born in Newark, NJ to the late Thomas and Rose (nee Lento) Rose.  She has been a longtime area resident.

Roe was the Owner of Curlies Cutting Crew in Ocean City for many years before her retirement. Besides making people look and feel beautiful, she enjoyed playing golf, spending time with her kids and grandkids and rooting for the NY Giants.

Survivors include her husband Matthew Kane; her children Michele DeRosa of Galloway, NJ, Shannon DeRosa of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Angelo (Christine) DeRosa of Northfield, NJ, and Joseph (Jacqueline) DeRosa of Northfield, NJ; sister Gloria (Louis) Pastena and brother Anthony (Rachel) Rose; grandchildren Rosa and Angela Martinez, Sarah and Jenna Cordery, Angelo, Deanna, and Dante DeRosa, Mia, Marissa, Vincent and Victor DeRosa. 

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Rose (née Lento) Rose, husband Angelo Michael DeRosa, brothers Donald, Cosmo and Frank Rose, and granddaughter Hannah Cordery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am Monday, October 3, 2022  at St. Augustine’s R. C. Church of St. Damien Parish, 13th Street at Wesley Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from 10 until 10:45am.

Private burial will be Tuesday in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
