Obituary of Virginia Todd Kier

Virginia Todd (Ginny/Shortie)Kier, 87, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2022, after a long illness.  She was born in Chadds Ford, PA and is predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) of 66 years, her parents Richard and Mildred Adams, brothers Richard (Pete)Adams, Clayton Adams and sister Katherine(Nubbin) Jones. She is survived by her daughter Debbi (Ron)Rodgers of Ocala, FL, son Doug (DeeDee)Kier of Simpsonville, SC,  grandson Alex (Kayla)Kier of Columbia,SC; sister Carolyn Patterson of Linwood, NJ and brother Frank Adams of Richmond-Nelson, New Zealand. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored, and her cat, Maggie. 

Virginia was an accomplished quilter and avid birder.  She was a loyal Jeopardy fan knowing most if not all the questions and an expert at crossword puzzles. 

After retiring as a Medical Secretary, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She loved antiquing and birding in Lancaster, PA and eating lobster in Camden, ME. 

Her greatest passion was her family and was happiest when surrounded by them all. 

A graveside service will be held at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Mays Landing, NJ at 11am Wednesday August 10, 2022 where she will be buried next to her husband Bob. 

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Brigantine Wildlife Sanctuary in Brigantine, NJ or a local wildlife refuge of your choice.
