Obituary of Katherine H. Fox
On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Katherine H. “Cassie” Fox (née Andress), from Malaga, NJ, passed at the age of 91.
Katherine was born in Strathmere, NJ. She graduated from Ocean City High School in 1949 and went to work at Children's Seashore House, a division of CHOP, in Atlantic City, NJ., until she was married and moved to Philadelphia, PA, then to Mt. Ephraim and Glendora, NJ.
Katherine enjoyed a variety of music, reading, crossword puzzles and cooking. She passed her love of Strathmere onto her children and their families. Sunday dinners and lots of laughs were her favorite.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband Charles W. “Sonny” Fox and brother Charles Shaffer.
Survived by her loving family Sandy Hall (Chuck, deceased); Jay Fox (Patti); brother Edward Andress; Grandson Mike Fox (Kristin); and great grandson Jacob Fox. Also many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Katherine to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at Chop. Edu/giving for Children’s Research.
Her funeral service will be offered Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11 o’clock at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from 10 o’clock until time of service.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Trinity Methodist Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
