Obituary of George Andrew Duffy
George Andrew Duffy "Andy" passed away on May 25, 2022 in Miami Florida. He was on a fishing adventure with a good friend in the Florida Keys when he became ill, and passed shortly after. Lovingly remembered as Andy, he was raised in Moorestown, NJ and in Ocean City, NJ. Growing up at the Jersey shore, Andy became an avid and much loved local fisherman. His stories were outrageous and his ability to hook the fish fantastic. He taught many of his buddies - his secrets. His passion for fishing was exhilarating and infectious! Andy was a kind soul and lived a simple life, and often lived on the road. For many years his transportation was on a bike in Ocean City. Wherever he traveled, he was sure to have his fishing pole. Andy entered this beautiful life knowing he was loved and adored by family and friends. He departed with a deep richness of love many never know. Andy was a proud Coast Guard Veteran and loved to do odd jobs in carpentry. The guy could cook and would travel wherever he had for that special ingredient. There are a few souls who would also claim he made the best dinners ever!!! Godspeed Andy. See ya soon. We're bringing our poles. Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara H. Duffy (Heist) Surviving Andy are his father, George A. Duffy, Sister Anne R. Carr, Brother Peter H. Duffy, Sister Kate W. Duffy and 5 nephews, a niece and many other cousins and extended family.
A Memorial Tree was planted for George
