William D. Harris, 86, of Palermo, NJ went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at home with his family by his side. Born in Belleplain, NJ to the late Earl and Marjorie (nee Drummond) Harris, he was a lifetime area resident. Bill was a longtime active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Marmora. He was the Owner of Tidewater Utilities Construction Company in Egg Harbor Township for many years before his retirement. Bill was predeceased by his sister: Lillian Atkinson. Surviving are his wife: Carolyn (nee Voss), daughters: Sally Jo (Peter) Carroll, Cindy (Jim) Chadwick, Sandra Jill Chadwick, nine grandchildren: Bill, Andrew, Mackenzie, Ryan, Megan, Jessica, Christian James, Matthew, Ethan and 11 great grandchildren: Bennett, Maeve, Madilynn, Shawn, Evelyn, Lauretta, Maxwell, William, Jon, Samantha, Summer. Also surviving is a brother-in-law: Roland R. Voss, Jr. His Funeral Service will be offered Thursday, March 3, 2022 at High Noon at Trinity United Methodist Church, 20 North Shore Road, Marmora, NJ where friends may greet the family from 11 o’clock until time of service. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ. Memorial contributions are suggested to either Trinity United Methodist Church or Beacon Animal Rescue, 701 Butter Road, Palermo, NJ 08230.
