Obituary of Nancy F. Gill

Nancy F. Gill of Sea Isle City, NJ passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 15th, 2022. Nancy was born in Bridgeton, NJ and graduated from Bridgeton High School. After graduation she worked at the Coca-Cola Company until she married her loving husband, John, of 65 years. They moved to Newark, DE where she raised their three children. Nancy worked at the University of Delaware’s Chemical Engineering department as a Technical Secretary until her retirement in 1989 to her Sea Isle City, NJ beach house. Nancy always loved vacationing in Florida, soaking in the sun, preparing large Italian meals, and gathering with her family and friends. Nancy also enjoyed the beach, reading, and crossword puzzles. She will be lovingly remembered for her smiling personality and sweet demeanor by all who were blessed to meet and know her. Nancy is survived by her husband, John; her children, John Jr. and Kelly (Billy) Porter; her granddaughters, Kate and Erin Porter; her sister, Frances Ramirez; her nieces, Rhonda Mitchell and Cheryl Dugan; and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Grace Formica; her daughter, Kimberly Gill; her grandson, Kyle Porter; and her brother, Joseph Formica. Burial will be private, but a Memorial will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Deauville Inn, 201 Willard Road, Strathmere, NJ 08248 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s memory to the Save Our Historic St. Joseph’s Church group at the following address: 8305 Landis Ave, Suite #5, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243. Nancy will be dearly missed, and her family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support.
