Obituary of Barbara Jean Riggione

Barbara Jean Riggione (née Costanza), 72, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Surrounded by loved ones, she left this world peacefully on December 3, 2021 after a battle with illness. Born and raised in Ocean City to Nazzareno and Josephine on May 7, 1949, Barbara spent much of her life there, including 41 years of marriage with the love of her life and travel partner, Ken. An exceptional cook who loved to entertain, friends and family spent countless hours around her table. She was a retired teacher and active in her community, including as a long-time volunteer with CASA and member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Barbara is survived by her son Jason (Jenee), daughter Gina, son Jeffrey (Nicole), brothers Carmen (Toni) and Tom (Kari), two grandsons, Sean and AJ, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ken, brother Michael, and son-in-law Gerald. A visitation service is scheduled from 11 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Godfrey Funeral Home in Palermo, NJ.
