Barbara was a very special person. She always had a smile for you and was always so gracious. We will miss her here in St. Augustine. Barb and Ken’s visits were always such fun. So sorry for your loss. Barbara was a childhood friend of mine (Carol Breckley Deuter) from about the ages of 5-10. I grew up at 113 North Street. We often played at the North street playground together and also with Betsy Reichanek who lived across the street. Betsy had a kids' play house that we had fun playing in during the day. Sometimes we placed pennies on the train tracks that were behind her home and waited for the train to smash the pennies. Barbara's family was always very kind and welcoming to me. All of us liked walking to Downeys corner store at First and Asbury Avenue to get items for our parents and candy for us. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
