Obituary of John T. Lunsford, Jr.

John T. Lunsford, Jr., age 42, passed away at Cooper Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Beckley, WVa, he grew up in Egg Harbor Township, NJ and lived in Rio Grande, NJ. He graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School and spent 11 years working for the casinos in various positions. He then left the casinos and spent the remainder of his life as a devoted father to his two sons. Survivors include his sons Justin (Mother, Robin Huff) and Adam (Mother, Heather Sayers), his parents Jane and John Lunsford, Sr., his sisters Nicole and Sara (Husband, Drew Hurst), and nephew Jacob Hurst. He was predeceased by his daughter Myalisa Lunsford. His family is holding a luncheon in celebration of John’s life on Monday, Oct. 25th at 2:00 pm at Surf Dog Bar & Grill, 1563 Dehirsch Avenue, Woddbine, NJ Memorials may be given to Cooper Hospital’s Cancer Center. www.godfreyfuneralhome.com
