Obituary of Joseph E. Pelan

Pelan, Joseph E., 74, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, after a courageous battle. Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1947 and raised in Maple Shade, NJ. Joseph was a proud veteran and served in the United States Navy on the Essex-class aircraft carrier the USS Oriskany (CV-34) from 1968 – 1972. He worked for 30 years at B.L. England Generating Station in Beesley’s Point, NJ as a Stationary Engineer. Joseph was a loving husband and father who is survived by his loving wife Wilma of 32 years; his beloved children Joseph C. (Jamie), Curtis W. (Anton), Jamie M. (Rob); and adored grandchildren William, Vivian and Joseph T. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Joseph G. and Betty J. Pelan. A Memorial Service will be celebrated for Joseph E. Pelan at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Godfrey Funeral Home, 4008 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ, 08234.
