Obituary of Virginia Janie Black
Virginia Black, age 75, passed away at home on 6/23/2021. Born in North Wildwood, NJ, she lived in Ocean City for over 25 years. Virginia graduated from Middle Township High in June 1966. Virginia loved the Lord and frequented many local churches. She enjoyed walking, the library and traveling locally. Survivors include 2 children: Ms. Gale Harold of Charlotte, NC and Mr. Jonathan Forrest of Houston, TX, one sister: Mrs. Mincy Edmond, four grandchildren, Ms. Indigo Harold of Houston, TX, Mr. Isaiah Harold of Norfolk, VA, Mr. Myles Harold of Charlotte, NC and Ms. Maia Harold of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mrs. Minruh Moore Sanders Burrell and Mr. Preston Sanders, 4 siblings: Mrs. Delores Shockley, Mrs. Minnie “Sista” Brown, Mrs. Margaret Langford and Mr. Haywood Sanders. A Service of Memory and Love will be held on Saturday, July 10th at 12 o’clock noon at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 8th Street at Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ.
