Obituary of Joseph N. Guarracino, Jr.

Joseph Nicholas Guarracino, Jr. passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 29, 2021. Joseph was born on May 3, 1943 in Somers Point, New Jersey and grew up attending Ocean City Schools with his three sisters. After graduating high school, Joseph entered the United States Air Force. While training to be a cook at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, Joe met the love of his life, Frankie Lee (who was nicknamed Tiny). They were married in 1963 and spent the next 53 years creating a beautiful family and life together. An avid sports fan, Joseph spent many years as a dedicated youth athletics coach in the Egg Harbor Township Youth Organization. He was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan as well as Villanova, Penn State, and Notre Dame. Joe worked as a food and beverage supervisor at several Atlantic City casinos for many years. He spent much of the last years of his life tenderly caring for Tiny before her passing. Both Joe and Tiny were loved very dearly by their family. Left to honor and remember him are his children, daughter Tina Marie (William Hepp) and son Joseph III (Carolyn); 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Lauren, Anthony, Ricky, Gabriella, and Gianna; sisters Patricia (George), Linda (William), and Janet (Buddy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, his daughter Jennifer Anne, and his grandson Ryan Joseph Souder.
