Obituary of Edward W. Manning, Jr.
Edward W. Manning, Jr. passed away on September 1, 2020 at his home in Ocean City, New Jersey surrounded by his family. Born July 31, 1950 in Camden, New Jersey, he was a graduate of Collingswood High School and Rowan University. Ed was a very loving and devoted husband of 31 years, father, "Pop-Pop", and friend. He was an avid tennis player/coach for over 50 years. Aside from his family, tennis was his ultimate passion, which filled his life with purpose and joy. Among many wonderful attributes, Ed was also a "tech guru", beach lover, and Philly Sports fanatic. Ed is survived by his wife, Pamela (Hitchock) Manning, children Jason Manning (Aileen Bannon), Colleen nee Manning (Kevin Zelenakas), Semra nee Forman (Scott Meredith), Colin Forman (Rachel Perkins), six grandchildren, and sister Kathy Kurtyan (John) and nieces and nephews. Due to COVID, his Funeral Services were held privately with his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or Make A Wish Foundation (Philadelphia/Delaware).
