Thomas, Doris J. 78 of Ocean City, NJ passed away on at her home on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Miss Thomas was formerly of Norristown, PA before moving to Ocean City, NJ in 1958. She worked as an Office Manager for N.J. American Water Company in Ocean City, NJ and as a floor person at Resorts in Atlantic City, NJ. Miss Thomas was a member of St. Frances Cabrini RC Church in Ocean City, NJ, the Republican Club, the Civic Club and was Past President of Soroptimist Club. Surviving are three sisters, Ann Thomas, Elaine Thomas, both of Ocean City, NJ, Eleanor Dilks (Edward) of Linwood, NJ, a brother, James J. Thomas (Janice) of Beverly Hills, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie C. Sylvester, Catherine J. Thomas, Evelyn Williams and a brother Joseph Thomas, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from St. Frances Cabrini RC Church of St. Damien Parish, 2nd Street at Atlantic Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of service. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Damien's Parish, 1310 Ocean Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
