Obituary of Macklin James Land Bridgens

Macklin James Land Bridgens, 26, of Ocean City, NJ passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 after a nine year struggle with mental illness. Through it all he had an infectious smile and loved everyone. Macklin was born on January 7, 1994, in Denver, CO. He was raised in Ocean City and Point Pleasant Borough. He attended Point Pleasant schools and graduated from Ocean City High School. At an early age Macklin learned to surf, snowboard, skateboard, and eventually took to the air on his kite board. He loved sports, music and being in the outdoors. He surfed the waves of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the Caribbean Sea. He rode the mountains of the Appalachian in the east and the Rockies in the west. He leaves behind many wonderful memories of great times exploring beaches, mountains, and lakes with family and friends. Macklin’s compassionate heart showed in his connection to animals and people in need. He played a mean guitar! His kindness and generosity will missed by so many. He is survived by his parents, Desiree Land of Bradley Beach, NJ and David “Reds” Bridgens of Ocean City, NJ.; grandmother Doris Land of Boca Raton, Fl; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
