Izzi, Anna Rose (nee Madden) 84 of Ocean View, NJ passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home. Born January 27, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, she was married to the late John P. Izzi. She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes Malapolski and Francis Madden, a son, Peter Izzi and brother John Madden. Anna lived in Philadelphia, and then moved to Sea Isle city, NJ. In 1985 she moved to Ocean View. Anna and her husband were the proud owners of Anne Izzi's Italian Bakery in Avalon and Ocean City until 1975. Anna worked at Busch's restaurant in the prep kitchen for many years before her retirement. She was an avid BINGO player, loved the casino and played lottery scratch offs. Survived by her children, John P. Izzi (Mary) of Ocean View, Frank P. Izzi (Dawn) of South Seaville, Albert Izzi (Sandy) of Ocean View, and her step children, Alice Gallo (Richard) of Churchville, PA and Stephen Izzi of Philadelphia, PA and a brother, Frank Madden (Mary). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her Funeral Service will be offered Friday at 12 o'clock noon at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of service. Burial will be private. Any donations can be made in Anna's name to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 North US Highway 9, Swainton, NJ 08210.
