Carlin, Ruth L., (nee Laughlin) 94 of Marmora, NJ passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her home.
Born in Devon, KS, she was formerly of Winchester, MA and Prescott, AZ before moving to Marmora, NJ 2 ½ years ago.
Mrs. Carlin worked as a Teacher for Winchester Junior High School in Winchester, MA for 15 years before her retirement.
Surviving are two children, Dr. Katherine Dowd and her husband C. Robb Ackley of Marmora, NJ, Thomas B. Dowd and his wife Dianne of North Reading, MA, two sisters, Jeanne O'Hara of Walnut Creek, CA, Patricia Clifford of Overland Park, KS, four grandchildren, Laura Dowd Scott, Sarah Dowd, Charles Ackley and Melissa Ackley.
A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Friday afternoon at three o'clock from The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ. Burial is private at the convenience of her family.
