Obituary of Edward J. Mislin
Mislin, Edward J. age 93, of Vineland, NJ formerly of Ocean City, NJ passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the NJ Veteran Memorial Home in Vineland. Born in Exeter, Pa to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Lawrence) Mislin. Ed owned and operated Ed's Delicatessen in Ocean City for many years. After retiring he went to work for the City of Ocean City Parking Authority Maintenance Dept and Managed the Recycling Yard. He was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Merchant Marine/U. S. Coast Guard during WWII from 1943 until 1946. He was also a member of the Morvay-Miley American Legion Post 524 in Ocean City. A "Special Thanks" to all the nurses and staff at the NJ Veterans Home that took such good care of him while he lived there, Legion Riders of Somers Point, NJ, Brigantine Elks Club and several VFW and American Legions for their contributions to the veterans.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Lois, daughter Karen (Mislin) Culler and sister Theresa Lamar.
Surviving are his son Joseph (Judi) Mislin, sister Lorraine (Dan) Harris, son-in-law Gary Culler, four grandsons (Spouses), five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his beloved Shih-tzu "Jackie"
His funeral service and interment will be private.
