Jane Smith

Obituary of Jane Smith

Smith, Jane (Johnson also known as 'Sis' to her family), of Ocean City, NJ, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away quietly, where she wanted to be, at her home, on Tuesday July 17th. She is survived by her loving husband Stan, sons Gary and Bob (Sandy) and daughter Janet (Joe); as well as cherished grandchildren, Michael (Lindsey), Gregg, Merry and Becky (Joe); in addition to 7 treasured great-grandchildren, ever so dear to GG's heart: Matthew, Braydon, Nicholas, Camryn, Katherine, Lillian and Payton. Jane, Sweetheart, Mom, Mom Mom, GG got to see her loving grand and greats the day she past. She went by the motto that if she had known grand and great grandchildren were so wonderful she would have had them first. She valued times with family and friends. So many relished moments at the beach house too numerous to mention. Jane, with Stan her husband of almost 65 years, enjoyed traveling and had many pleasurable adventures, but she would not stray too long, always needing to be home for the family and holidays. Church services will be held in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2998 Bay Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey on Monday, July 22nd. Visitation at 11:00 AM, Burial Eucharist at noon, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, because of her affection for Ocean City, please feel free to make donations in her name to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church or The Ocean City Free Public Library (Attn: Christopher Maloney), 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226. Thank you Mom. See you on the beach. We love you. For condolences to the family, please visit www.godfreyfuneralhome.com.
