Haynes, William E. "Moose" 66 of Beesley's Point, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his home.
Born in Somers Point, he was a lifetime Beesley's Point, NJ resident.
He played basketball for Ocean City High School and was on the 1964 State Championship team. Moose was the record rebound holder, a title he holds to this day.
Moose worked as a Plumber for Sharp Plumbing for 35 years retiring in 2000. He also worked as a Bouncer and Bartender for the Sandbar in Marmora, NJ.
He was a life member of Marmora Volunteer Fire Company, a member of The New Jersey Beach Buggy Association, and a charter member of the Ocean City Beach Buggy Association.
Moose was an avid Phillies and New York Giants fan and a proud Pop Pop.
Surviving is a daughter, Alice Fox and her husband Mark of Seaville, NJ, three grandchildren, Patsey, Charlie "Buddy", and Mark J., a sister, Elizabeth Neill and her husband Michael of Somers Point, a nephew, Michael of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, a niece, Patricia Mandell of Trenton, NJ.
A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Friday morning at 11 o'clock from The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from half past 10 o'clock until the time of service. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
