Loisann Coughlin (nee Walchak) of Wildwood Crest passed away on Wednesday April 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Loisann was born March 20 in Shenandoah, PA. She graduated from Good Shepherd Grammar School, West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Girls, and Misericordia College. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and loved her starring role as "Nanny" to her 6 grandchildren. In her early years she lived in Philadelphia. In 1962 Lois married the love of her life and best friend, Dennis Matthew Coughlin. They moved to Wildwood Crest, NJ with their 3 young daughters in 1969. There they enjoyed a seashore friendly lifestyle hosting family and friends often. While Dennis' law practice grew Loisann explored many different professional venues. Loisann's career path took her from healthcare to education to retail; lastly enjoying many busy days with all her dear friends at North Wildwood Medical Associates. Everyone who knew Lois knew she was the "Ultimate Shopper." Her passion for fashion will never be surpassed. Her classic sense of style brought a smile to all those who knew her and will never be forgotten. The pinnacle of the shopping chronicles was the one day shopping trips to Bermuda with her dear friend, Sandy Dunn. Lois was a kind and courageous woman. She was an inspiration to all. Lois had a positive approach in all situations. Her legacy will live on in the countless good deeds that she did for all those who knew her. Her wealth of knowledge was a constant source of amusement and awe. Lois was an avid reader, and she always loved her crosswords puzzles. Her interest in current events and culture never faded much to the enjoyment of her family, especially her grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed life, sharing laughter, confidences, cocktails and dinners with her family and friends. Loisann is survived by her devoted family: AJ Coughlin-Neville, Ailene and Dan Palombo , Ann Michele Coughlin and Guy Sciolla. Nanny will be greatly missed by her 6 grandchildren whom she cherished: David and Dennis Neville; Alicia, Daniel, Sam, and Alanna Palombo. Her loving siblings include Helen Alice and David Barrington and Louis and MaryLou Walchak. Also surviving a host of caring relatives and friends. Her love and support were a joy and will be missed by all. Services to be held at Parish of St. MaxiMillian Kolbe Church of the Resurrection, Marmora, NJ 200 Tuckahoe Road Marmora. Friends may call from 10:00 am Tuesday April 9, 2013. A mass to celebrate Loisann's life at will be at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
