Susan J. Fauth

With great sadness, Susan Fauth, 74, of Marmora NJ, was called Home to be with God on June 24, 2022.

Born Susan Jayne Thonsen on November 10, 1947 to William and Alice (Zegers) Thonsen, Susan graduated from WT Clark High School in East Meadow, NY. Soon after, she began her career with the telephone company, eventually retiring after more than 30 years of service.

On February 9, 1980 she married Walter and for 33 years they built a life they loved until his passing in 2013. An avid home chef, Susan could be found in the kitchen preparing memorable meals to be relished by her family and friends.  It was Susan’s devotion to her sweet granddaughters, Amanda and Kaelin, and to her niece-turned-daughter, Katie, that she spent her most cherished moments.

Susan is survived by her sons Michael and wife Moira (Katie) of Louisville, KY and Peter and wife Kristin of Fishkill, NY.  Brothers Dr. William Thonsen and wife Debbie, Charlie Thonsen and wife Jeanette.  Susan’s beloved sister, Deborah Thonsen, predeceased her.

Susan also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Robert Rullan and his wife Kim, Katie Kunze and her husband Aaron, Scott Rullan and his wife Alicia, Chuck Thonsen and his wife Stefanie, Allison Thonsen, Lindsay Stewart and her husband, Brent and William (Greg) Thonsen and his wife Claire.  Sue will also be missed by her great nieces and nephews and was a very special ‘grandma Susan’ to Julia and Evan Rullan.
