Obituary of Franklin Unger

UNGER JR, FRANKLIN K. 90, of Ocean City died peacefully with his family at home

on Friday October 20, 2017. Born in Germantown Pa, formally of Abington Pa, he

was a resident of Ocean City for 54 years. Frank was a Navy veteran. He was a retired

chief engineer for Forrest Laundry and Cascade Linen Supply. Frank was a member of

St. John Lutheran Church, 50 year member of Ocean City Masonic Lodge #171, past

President of both the Ocean City School Board and Lions Club, past commodore of the

Riverboat Club, and proud alumni of Ocean City Beach Patrol. Frank was predeceased

by his loving wife, Alice and survived by his sister Jane Burman of Linwood, his four

children, Maribeth Neall of Ocean City, Jo Ann Wolicki (Mike) of Marmora, Franklin K

Unger III (Janet) of Ocean City, and Jennifer Pfander (Mark) of Ocean City, 10

grandchildren, Leslie, Pam, Courtney, Jackson III, Michelle, Mandi, Franklin IV, Jamie,

Allison, Mark Jr., and 12 great grandchildren.

Frank's Service of Memory and Love will be celebrated on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at 12:00PM at the St John Lutheran Church, 1001 Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may visit from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Burial will be private.
