Mary Rose Kosak
Long-standing St. Maximilian Kolbe parishioner
Mary (nee Musmeci) Kosak , 93, of Ocean View, NJ., passed away on March 6, 2018 at Shore Medical Center.
She was born in Dorchester, MA., lived in Hull, MA., and Alexandria, VA., for nearly 30 years, before retiring to Cape May County.
While living in Virginia, she was a secretary for a Washington, D.C. media-buying company and subsequently opened and operated a successful retail florist business.
During her years as a resident of Palermo and Ocean View, she was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection, St. Maximilian Kolbe parish. She was a charter member of the church's Mature Adults Club and served as Secretary for the group. Mary taught Catechism for many years, and was a member of the Rosary Society. Until recently, she was a regular greeter at 9:30 Sunday Mass. She was also a volunteer at The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center Thrift Shop in Marmora.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Peter. She is survived by two sons: Peter and his wife, Veronica, and Mark, and his wife Debra. She was the loving grandmother of Matthew, Erica, Mari, and Lisa Kosak, dearest sister of Helen R. Weiser and dear "Auntie Ro" to 12 nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11am at Church of the Resurrection, 200 Tuckahoe Road, Marmora. Where friends may call from 10am till time of the service. Burial to follow at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
