Farrell, Anthony J. (Tony) age 82 of Manchester, NJ, and formerly of Medford, NJ, passed away on February 28, 2018. He was raised in South Jersey and attended Merchantville High School. He was the devoted husband of Elizabeth (nee Solnek) Farrell and beloved father of Michael (Edie) Farrell, Anthony, Jr. (Joy) Farrell, Robert (Suzanne) Farrell and Patricia (William) Petracci. He was a doting grandfather to: Morgan, Matthew, Lauren, Kaitlyn, William, Michelle, Kellie, Michael, Tammy and Russell. Also surviving are Nina Cooker and Evelyn Ferren, his sisters, and many nieces and nephew.
Tony served in the NJ National Guard. He spent many years in real estate and was the owner of Farrell & Hill, Inc. Realtors in Marlton, NJ. He later was the proprietor of Crescent Liquors in Maple Shade, NJ.
Tony’s first priority was always family and friends. He was also passionate about volunteering and helping others. He served as a volunteer probation counselor for the Camden County Juvenile Domestic Relations Court and for the Domestic Violence Response Team in the Burlington area. After retiring, Tony was an active volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Shoppe and Food Bank in Medford.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10 am until 11 am at St. Mary’s of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 am.
