Joseph L. Polak

JOSEPH L. POLAK, 80 of Seaville, NJ, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on November 6, 2017.

Joe was born and raised in Chester, PA. He married Theresa (Mulhern) and lived in Folcroft, PA with their 2 sons, Joseph and Daniel, before moving to Seaville, NJ in 1973

Joe graduated from St. James High School, Chester, PA in 1955 and St. Joseph's University in 1972.

He served a 5 year apprenticeship at Baldwin Lima Hamilton, Eddystone, PA, and eventually became a Master Machinist. During his career he was employed by Scott Paper Co, Chester, PA and Landisville, NJ. General Electric, Phila, PA, Control Switch, Folcroft, PA. He also consulted and trained with IBM on the development of CNC, Computer Numerical Controlled machine work. Joe taught at Camden County Vo-Tech School, where he was the Machine Shop instructor and moderator of the VICA club guiding the Club to the National finals in Indianapolis IN. He later opened his own machine and tooling company, Jersey Shore Machine, where he specialized in spray welding. Joe completed his career with Atlantic Electric, Beesleys Point, NJ & Comet Tool, Pitman, NJ.

Joe was a Member of Maris Stella Church, St. Brendan the Navigator Parish, Avalon, NJ

Joe and His wife Theresa celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Sept 2017.

Joe dedicated his life to his family. He was most happy when he was helping others. He was immensely talented and could design, fabricate and repair anything using metal, wood or plastic. He loved his pets.

He is Survived by his wife Theresa, son Joseph and wife Susan, Swainton, NJ and son Daniel and wife Kristen, Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday November 18 at Maris Stella Church, St. Brendan the Navigator Parish, Avalon, NJ. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow.
